MULTI DAY TOUR
  • 3 days

Description

On this magnificent 6 day Wilderness Adventure Safari you can choose to enter the famed Kruger National Park from the game rich Southern area, or from the North where Elephant are plentiful. All day after glorious day you ride an open safari vehicle with experienced safari guides to try to spot Africa’s most elusive big game – the ‘Big 5!’

Experience the thrill of alighting upon a massive Elephant Bull in a thicket, or the serene splendour of witnessing the long necked Giraffe munching leaves from the tree tops. A myriad of birdlife adorn the skies above his head and in the shade of another tree you spot a majestic Rhino taking his siesta.

You marvel at the variety of wildlife you spot, from the big cat predators to timid antelope, reptiles and insects alike, that all inhabit this incredible wilderness. The highlight of the week is a thrilling night drive. You recognise the familiar ‘hoot’ of the Owl and gaze into the glowing eyes of a pack of Wild dogs scavenging on a predator’s left overs. You may even spot the elusive, mostly nocturnal Leopard as he seeks his supper.

Back at camp you take drinks around the campfire, reflect on the safari and are lulled to sleep in comfortable accommodations by the roar of a Lion and the mocking laughter of the Hyena. All inclusive are: comfortable chalet accommodations with en-suite facilities and air conditioning; all transport to and from Johannesburg, Pretoria and Oliver Tambo airport – and open safari vehicles in the park; breakfasts and dinners, registered professional safari guides; All day and one night safaris and conservation fees.

Come and join us for 6 spectacular days and five fabulous nights on this adventure safari of a lifetime. Africa awaits you and unforgettable memories are waiting to be made!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Johannesburg - Kruger Park. On entering the Kruger Park through the Numbi Gate we make our way on towards the camp of Pretoriuskop for a lunch break before departing on our first game drive of the day where we have the opportunity of spotting Rhino, Elephant and other species of Antelope doing what they do best eating. We make our way to our Camp for the evening arriving just before gate closing time. After checking in you’ll get a chance to freshen up in your chalet before joining others for dinner at the camp’s restaurant. Your guide will let you know the time to meet him outside the restaurant.

Day 2 Kruger Park. Everything starts early in the Kruger park in order to have a greater chance of seeing game, we depart from the camp and get on the road when the gates open. We’ll stop at one of the picnic areas en-route to our next camp for breakfast hoping to spot our elusive Leopard or possibly finding a pride of Lions on the prowl. After breakfast we continue on our game drive looking out for any birds of interest or antelope along the way.

You’ll see plenty of Zebra and Wildebeest grazing on the open grass plain, tall elegant Giraffes, their heads among the branches of the acacia trees, and a family of Elephants crossing the road ahead of you. You’ll see plenty of birds too – there are more than 500 species present in the Park during our summer months. We’ll get back to camp at mid afternoon and this will give you time to relax before dinner and then departing on your Night Safari. A National Parks ranger will be in charge of the two-hour night drive in an open sided truck.

Day 3 - Kruger Park. Today we’ll slowly make our way up to next Camp, arriving for check in after 14h00pm allowing you time to check in and have a break from the vehicle before departing late afternoon on another game drive before dusk and the camps gates close, or if you prefer relaxing in the camp for the rest of the afternoon you may do so enjoying listening to the birds singing in the trees or just taking a nap. Dinner is in the restaurant at 19h00pm where your guide will discuss the event for the next day.

Day 4 - Kruger Park.

Day 5 - Kruger Park. After a good nights rest, we depart early once again for an early morning game drive, returning to camp for breakfast, before making our way slowly back to the Southern edge of the park to our last camp for the evening. Check in will be late afternoon and dinner at 19h00pm in the restaurant.

Day 6 - Kruger Park - Johannesburg. It’s time this morning for your last game drive, hoping to spot as many species of antelope, and cats before breakfast. Enjoy your last mornings breakfast and drive in the park before departing by 10h00am and slowly making our way back to Nelspruit to change over to your transfer vehicle back to Johannesburg arriving late afternoon.

Drop-off back at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport If you’re flying out of one of the airports close to the Kruger Park, you will probably be lucky enough to spend an extra couple of hours viewing game. Your guide will ensure that you leave the park in plenty of time to catch your flight from either Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) or Mpumalanga Airport (MQP)

BEST TRIP EVER! I was very nervous about the whole idea of going on safari. Kruger National Park exceeded my expectations and much of that was down to my experience with Nhongo Safaris, I felt extremely safe and well looked after, Amanda our guide went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Under promise and over achieve she did!

I will be back and will be recommending Nhongo Safari’s to anyone who will listen!
Thank you again, I’d give you more stars if I could!

August, 2019

Our Nhongo Safari focused on seeing and learning about the park's animals and ecosystems. We saw the big five and so much more- a leopard in a tree with a kill, mating lions (interesting), elephants up close, black rhinos, a poached rhino (very sad), hyenas, hippos, giraffes... Our guide Amanda was dedicated and passionate about the park and its animals. Her experience and knowledge as a guide made the trip a once in a lifetime event. We were glad we chose the 7 day safari - there is so much to see. If you want to experience, the wildlife of Africa, Nhongo is a great choice.

Below is a review given by one of our clients on a "Six Day Safari".

We had a 6 days private safari with Nhongo. Our guide was Amanda and she was wanderful. She took care of everything, explain everything and was very knowlageable. We saw leopard and chita and many other animals.
Nhongo also upgrade our stay to ensure we will have wonderful time and we did.
Thank you Amanda and Verity for an unforgettable safari.

So frustrating... I am very very upset about the experience I just had with Nhongo Safaris. Kruger Park is amazing, please go there, it totally worth. I only chose the wrong agency to go with. Nhongo is super well rated however they charged my friends and I quite a lot of money and fit us 3 in a small room, even they had sold us 2 bedrooms. Nobody came to clean our room for the first day. The guide we had was good, can’t complain about him - Clint his name. My main issue was with the Nhongo’s management: Verity. I tried to wire them money before the trip taking place but it didn’t go through once my bank was seeing the wire transfer as potentially a fraud, I offered to pay locally and so Verity agreed with that. Unfortunately once I got there she changed wanted me to pay in cash only (it is a National Park, I couldn’t take 400usd out of a ATM where the daily limit is way lower). She made the chaos in my life, involved me in such an embarrassing situation that I will never forget. Ahe reached out to my friends chasing them for money, she ordered our guide to stop the car in the middle of the jungle until she got the money, pretty much she forced one of my friends to pay it on my behalf without asking me for it. There were 8 people in the pickup truck and everyone was watching the car stopped because of this. I have never felt so embarrassed and frustrated in my whole life. Even I said I could wire from another bank, pay it on a card machine, I offered to go to her office in Johannesburg, I offered plenty of alternative solutions and she made this to me.
Other than that We made good friends, we took awesome pictures, so please go to Kruger Park, just don’t join Nhongo Safaris!
