Our professional guided safari night game drives offer encounters with a remarkable variety of wildlife including the Big-5, plenty of plains game and a rich and diverse population of bird life with more than 360 species recorded.
There is a place in Africa where wild animals still roam freely. Where the great tuskers still tramp their ancient pathways through indigenous forest and tall yellow grass. This is Dinokeng Game Reserve, a 28,500-hectare unspoiled wilderness in Northern Gauteng.
The rest of the Big 5 also find their home here – lion, leopard, black and white rhino, buffalo, more than 360 bird species and myriad other animals and plants.
Enjoy an African safari like no other in an open game viewing vehicle. Our enthusiastic field guide will point out the footprint of a stalking leopard or rhino and calf and maybe the hideout of a baboon spider.
During your sundowners in a secluded area in the middle of the bush or on the riverbank, your guide will share legendary tales of mating ostrich and laughing hyena.

We had an excellent weekend here. I'd really recommend coming for great, relaxed time. It's so close to Pretoria! You could easily drive back if you forgot something :) . The chalets are perfectly equipped with all you need. (Even Air-Con!!!). Have a great stay
Friendly, helpful and clean. The experience with the lions half an hour after our arrival is unforgettable. To see them so close-up. The bond between the male 2 females. Wonderful Thank you Debbie and Riaan for the most unexpected afternoon and early morning game drive.
MARULANI is a beautiful camp abundant with bird life and small animals like squirrels etc.
Riaan took us on an early morning game drive complete with a break for coffee and snacks. His knowledge and love of Dinokeng, the Bush and nature came out and we shared our love of birds with him, which he included in his talk for us.
The reason we aren't giving a 5 star rating is because the air conditioning in the unit didn't work, the gas geyser stopped working on the 2nd night, and there was a staff party going on the same night till the early hours that woke us up.
Quiet getaway 40 minutes from Pretoria! Saw Lions and White, and Black Rhino! Can't ask for better!
